Intermittent Reinforcement
Intermittent Reinforcement is part of an ongoing series of screen monoprints on paper that I began in 2014. This series is informed by ideas of game theory, such as chance, strategy, causality, and consequence - and in particular how it relates to the human experience of navigating the complex digital world and its constant barrage of information. The prints in this series are dense, often with 30-50 screenprinted layers. Some layers are printed by chance, some are designed to block, and others are created in response.
