All You Can Eat
On the surface, "All You Can Eat" celebrates a classic picnic scene, a collective experience shared by all. While it depicts the end of a meal, with food fragments and wine residue, it invites the viewer to imagine the memories created during this meal. The food that brought them together is fleeting but the memories will last. When the viewer takes an even closer look, a secondary narrative is introduced. Laureno plays with concept that energy can be neither created nor destroyed but only transferred from one form to another. As one meal comes to an end, another begins.
