Sign of the Times
Sign of the Times is a wood block print generated with a monotype approach to the color layer making the edition variable. I found the "Relevant" sign on a trip back home to rural Pennsylvania. It was actually for the Relevant church which had set up in an old grocery store. I find some irony in the use of the term Relevant for a church in a town that is struggling to reinvent itself after the loss of most of the manufacturing jobs that were there when I was a child. I question what is truely relevant.
