Air Mattress

This is an acrylic and acrylic ink painting of the last morning in an apartment I moved out of in 2024. At that point, that was the 5th time I had moved in the last 5 years as a result of the pandemic, as well as financial and situational changes in my life. This work is one of absence and was inspired by the feelings associated with moving places and how it is a reminder of how we are temporary to the specific rented spaces we inhabit, though we may inhabit multiple across our lives permanently.
